One degree, a thousand memories for Robiatul
KUANTAN, 20 March 2022 – Hailed from Raub Pahang, Robiatul Adawiyah Sapia’i, 26 proved a farmer’s child could pursue study at the university level and excel in her career.
This Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) with Honours graduand was grateful when she was selected to receive the Professor Dato’ Dr. Mashitah Mohd Yusoff Award at the recent Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) 15th Convocation Ceremony.
In addition to obtaining excellent results and being active in co-curricular activities at the university, she made her mother Norhayati Alias, 59 and father, Sapia’i Kussin, 66, as well as her family a source of inspiration and catalyst to spend six years of diploma and bachelor’s degree studies at UMP.
“They always prayed and encouraged me to always try and not give up.
“In addition, lecturers and friends helped a lot throughout the learning process at this university.
“No matter how hard they work to raise our siblings including my brother who is a Person With Disabilities (PWD), they never give up,” she said.
In fact, she said, his brothers also helped her a lot physically and mentally during her time at the university.
“Every time I think of giving up, they always give me motivational words that really help me keep pursuing my dreams and successes.
“Thanks to their prayers and help, I have succeeded now. Alhamdulillah,” she said.
Meanwhile, Robiatul greatly appreciated the contribution of the award by Professor Dato’ Dr. Mashitah Mohd Yusoff who contributed a lot to the excellence in the academic and research fields as well as student welfare.
