Surprise for graduating son, Rahmat entertains guests

PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 - Famous rock singer of the 90s, Rahmad Tohak or Rahmad Mega surprised not only his son but also the guests when performing on stage in conjunction with the 17th Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Convocation Ceremony in the UMP Sports Complex Hall.

He, who sang a song called ‘Takdir dan Waktu’, also attracted parents’ attention at the first session today.

His son Suhazri Amrin, 25, a graduand of Master of Science, also accompanied his father on stage when performing.

He was among 199 recipients of master’s and doctoral degrees at the Convocation Ceremony.

“A total of 832 recipients of master’s and doctoral degrees including 43 recipients of awards and prizes of excellence in the second session, totalling 1,031 graduands on the first day (5 November 2022) of the 17th Convocation Ceremony.

When met, Rahmad said he was present to celebrate his son, who successfully completed his Master of Science at UMP.

“Suhazri previously graduated with a bachelor’s degree at UMP and is now graduating his master’s study here,” he said.

Suhazri received a master’s degree presented by UMP Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Abi Musa Asa’ari Mohamed Nor.

Also present were the Chairman of the UMP Board of Directors, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman and UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin.
