UMPSA recognised globally in ESG
Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) was recognised by the world when it was ranked among the 565 best in the world and 133 best in Asia in the QS Sustainability Ranking 2024 which assesses universities based on actions taken on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues. This rating is based on three main assessment scopes, namely Environmental Impact 45%, Social Impact 45% and Governance 10% involving 1,403 universities listed worldwide. According to the UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, the university continues to demonstrate its commitment in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and assess the university’s efforts in addressing ESG-related world problems. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Dato' Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar, made an official visit for the first time to the university since his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective November 1, 2023. His arrival was welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, along with the university's top management and deans at the Tun Abdul Razak Chancellery Building in Pekan. Dato' Seri Abdul Razak was taken on a tour around the campus and met with staff in the faculties and main campus facilities, including laboratories and research centres, using an electric bus (EV). Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tianjin Wanfeng Chemical Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd. Present to sign the MoU was the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, while the Wanfeng side was represented by the Chief Executive Officer of Wanfeng, Zhu Rong. Also, present were the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology (FTKKP), Associate Professor Ts. Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) made an official working visit to Tianjin University (TJU) to prepare for the Dual Degree programme between UMPSA and TJU.
