International Conference on Networking and Communications 2026 Pre-Launch Session Successfully Concludes at UMPSA
PEKAN, 31 March 2026 - The pre-launch session of the 3rd International Conference on Networking and Communications (ICNWC 2026) was successfully held on 31 March 2026 at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).
The event was conducted in a hybrid format, welcoming both physical and virtual attendees from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), India, and abroad.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Deputy Dean (Research and Postgraduate Studies), Faculty of Mechanical And Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), Professor Ts. Dr. Syarifah Nur Aqida Syed Ahmad.
It was followed by a presentation from International Coordinator of the Faculty, Associate Professor Dr. Sudhakar Kumarasamy, who highlighted UMPSA’s collaborative engagements and its pivotal role in hosting ICNWC 2026.
Head of the School of Computing, SRMIST, Professor M. Lakshmi also delivered a presentation detailing SRMIST and its strategic collaboration with the Energy Sustainability Focus Group (ESFG) at FTKMA, UMPSA.

A major highlight of the pre-launch was the exchange of a Letter of Intent (LOI) between UMPSA and SRMIST, supporting a matching grant application and formalising a research partnership.
The event featured a distinguished lineup of experts who delivered insightful talks on emerging technologies, sustainability, and future communication networks: Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Kumaran Kadirgama (FTKMA): Smart and Sustainable EV Technologies; Dr. M. Lakshmi: AI Tools for Research; Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Muhamad Mat Noor, CEO, Automotive Engineering Research Group, FTKMA: Advancing SDG 11 Through Sustainable Urban Mobility: Green Fuel Future Trends and Technologies; and Professor Dr. M. Thenmozhi, School of Computing, SRMIST: Zero-Trust Architecture: Applications and Challenges of 6G Networks.
These sessions provided valuable perspectives, which deeply engaged a diverse audience of academicians, researchers, and students.
Following the keynotes, the programme transitioned into parallel technical workshops led by Dr. K. Krishnaraj from SRMIST and poster presentation sessions chaired by Dr. N. Deepa, also from SRMIST.
The ceremony officially concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mohd Hazwan Yusof from the Energy Sustainability Focus Group, UMPSA.
