Muhammad Uwais receives Puspanita Community Care Award

GAMBANG, 27 October 2024 – According to Muhammad Uwais Jainal Rasol, 21, he has achieved yet another milestone in his life.

“Alhamdulillah, I successfully obtained my Diploma in Chemical and Process Engineering and also received the Puspanita Community Care Award at the 19th Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Convocation Ceremony.

“I acknowledge that this achievement is not only for myself but also for my parents, lecturers, and friends who have continuously supported me all this while,” he stated.

Although he initially aspired to become an architect, Uwais ultimately decided to pursue the field of chemical engineering after receiving support from his family.

He shared that his experience with Chemistry during secondary school sparked his interest in researching and understanding the field further.

However, Uwais’s journey was not without challenges; he had to face the difficulties of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, which also affected his health.

He mentioned that he continued his studies even when unwell.

“Indeed, the experience fuelled my determination to study diligently.

“Even though I did not achieve a perfect 4.00 GPA every semester, I am still grateful for earning the Dean’s List Award.

“I believe that sustenance will come to those who strive and are grateful,” he stated.

Uwais is also determined to continue his efforts in pursuing his ambition to become a chemical engineer in the petroleum sector.

The experiences he gained during his studies at UMPSA have shaped his identity, teaching him not to fight alone but to work together to achieve success.
