New PGA UMP leadership appointed
KUANTAN, 2 February 2023 - The Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS) Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) held the UMP 2023 Postgraduate Association Appointment Ceremony and UMP 2022 Postgraduate Association Appreciation Ceremony at the AC Mariott Kuantan Hotel.
The appointment letter of the UMP Postgraduate Association (PGA) 2023 was delivered by the Dean of IPS, Professor Datin Ts. Dr. Mimi Sakinah Abdul Munaim.
According to Professor Datin Ts. Dr. Mimi Sakinah, since its inception, PGA UMP has made strides by implementing various activities and programmes involving postgraduate students including community service programmes.
“Implementing these organised activities can polish the talents of leadership, management, communication and teamwork involving postgraduate students appointed as heads or committee members.
“Every PGA leader and UMP postgraduate student has been highly committed to carrying out the planned activities every year.
“This association has the role of implementing various activities and programmes involving postgraduate students at UMP,” she said.
She also congratulated the leadership of the UMP Postgraduate Association appointed in 2023 led by Nurul Farah Anisa Hairolnizam as the President of UMP-PGA.
She hoped that the newly appointed leadership line would be able to fulfil the trust and carry out responsibilities well and be able to organise various activities that benefit postgraduate students.
At the same time, Professor Datin Ts. Dr. Mimi expressed her appreciation to the leadership of the UMP Postgraduate Association in 2022 led by Ts. Muhammad Syamsul Imran Zaini who had fulfilled the trust and carried out responsibilities well and successfully organised various activities and programmes throughout 2022.
UMP Postgraduate Association was established in 2016 and serves as a bridge between students and IPS in helping UMP deliver its aspirations to postgraduate students.
Also present were Senior Manager, Registrar Department, Hajah Sabarehan Haji Ismail representing the UMP Registrar, Deputy Dean of IPS, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Raihana Zahirah Edros and Senior Manager, Abd. Rahman Haji Safie.
