UMPSA receives courtesy visit from Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology and Phoenix Asia Academy of Technology

GAMBANG, 15 April 2024 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) recently received a courtesy visit from a delegation from the Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology and Phoenix Asia Academy of Technology.

The Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology delegation, led by its Chairman, Chunhui Song and the Phoenix Asia Academy of Technology delegation, led by its President, Professor Dr. Kenneth Quah, was welcomed by the UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin.

The visit was aimed at promoting the UMPSA dual degree programmes and establishing collaboration between the two universities.

According to Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie, UMPSA hoped that this courtesy visit would be a starting point for good collaboration networking.

“We hope to be given the opportunity to establish closer collaboration with Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology and Phoenix Asia Academy of Technology in the future,” he said.

The two-day programme, which began on 15 April, included a meeting with the top management, the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA) and the Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS) as well as visits to the surrounding UMPSA Pekan and Gambang Campus.

Also present were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Ir. Ts.  Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, Dean of FTKMA, Professor Dr. Mahadzir Ishak, Director of the Centre for Strategic Academic Collaboration (PKSA), Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Ruzaimi Mat Rejab, Director of the Centre for International Relations (CIR), Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Azmir Mohd Azhari and the UMPSA Advanced Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ahmad Johari Mohamad.
