UMPSA celebrates Maulidur Rasul and TVET Adventure with Kuala Krau Community
KUALA KRAU, 11 October 2024 – An-Nur Mosque in Kuala Krau, Temerloh resounded with salutations to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the recent Maulidur Rasul celebration.
The programme, organised by An-Nur Mosque in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), was part of the UMPSA@Kuala Krau TVET Adventure, aimed at strengthening the relationship between the university and the local community.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mohamad Hilmi Mat Said, Dean of the Centre for Human Sciences (PSK) at UMPSA.
Also present were the Chairman of An-Nur Mosque, Dato' Zainal Azman Bidin; Kuala Krau Police Chief, Sergeant Major Khairuddin Mohd Zainal; Director of PIMPIN (Islamic and Human Development Centre), Associate Professor Dr. Rashidi Abbas; and Head of Kampung Kuala Krau, Kamal Shah.
Kuala Krau holds an important place in the nation's history, being the site of the Bloody Dawn incident at the Kuala Krau Police Station, a significant memory that should be cherished by the younger generation to appreciate the meaning of struggle and sacrifice, as well as the importance of community harmony.
The volunteers also took the opportunity to visit the Kuala Krau Police Station, where they were welcomed by Sergeant Major Khairuddin Mohd Zainal.
Additionally, a Community Service Programme was conducted by the Centre for Industry and Community Linkages (ICoN), featuring a free motorcycle oil change service and a collaborative effort to prepare bubur lambuk (porridge).
