GAMBANG, 27 July 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) welcomed a total of 890 new students for the foundation and diploma programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This number includes 815 students in the Diploma programme and 75 new students in the Science and Technology Foundation programme.
The registration of new students was held simultaneously at several locations: The A.D.A.B Academy for UMPSA Pekan students, and Residential Colleges 3 and 4 for students at UMPSA Gambang Campus.
The registration process, which started as early as 8.30 am, ran smoothly with excellent cooperation from students, parents, and staff.
The new student registration session for 2024/2025 also saw a pair of twins successfully enrolling in the Industrial Science Diploma programme.
Nur Fatin Ariena Zaidi and Nur Fatin Ariesa Zaidi, 18-year-old twins from Taman Beserah, Kuantan, were grateful to have received offers to continue their studies at UMPSA.
Nur Fatin Ariesa expressed their gratitude for being offered the same programme and university, allowing them to pursue their dreams together.
“Being at UMPSA gives us an advantage because we don’t have to worry about making friends or being nervous in a new place since we will always have each other,” she said.
The twins live with their sister in Beserah.
Similarly, twins Tong Yi Lin and Tong Yi Xuan, who registered for the Life Science Foundation programme, were excited to be placed at the same university.
“We hope that our choice to study at UMPSA will lead to proud success one day because we are very passionate about Science and Technology,” they said.
The ‘Hari Suai Kenal’ or the orientation programme (HSK), which runs from 27 to 28 July 2024, aims to help these new students adapt to life and the study environment at UMPSA.
