TVET@Kuala Krau Adventure: UMPSA engages students with drone flight basic

KUALA KRAU, 11 October 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) recently launched an initiative to promote TVET among school students by organising the TVET@Kuala Krau Adventure.

One of the main activities featured in the TVET Adventure was the 'Introduction and Basics of Drone Flight' session.

A total of 30 Form 4 students were briefed on the theory and history of drones, the principles of drone physics, basic drone movements, drone demonstrations, and practical drone operation with the students.

The activity was conducted by Vocational Training Officers Ts. Mohd Tarmizy Che Kar, Ts. Mohd Idzwanrosli Mohd Ramli, and Abdul Rahman Fahmi Mat Hassan from the Centre for Advanced TVET.

Form 4 student Nur Izati Abdul Halim expressed her excitement at having the opportunity to operate a drone for the first time.

"I learned the basics of drone flight and its components," she said.

The TVET@Kuala Krau Adventure was officiated by UMPSA Vice-Chancellor Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin at Kuala Krau National Secondary School in Temerloh.

A total of 400 students from Form 3 and Form 4 participated in the programme.
