UMP appreciates 68 loyal staff serving for 20 years
PEKAN, 23 February 2023 - A total of 68 staff of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) who have faithfully contributed more than two decades of service at this university were celebrated in the Sanjungan Budi Ceremony in conjunction with the Annual Mandate of the UMP Vice-Chancellor 2023 took place at the UMP Multipurpose Hall recently.
The ceremony saw the UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin accompanied by the Registrar, Saiful Bahri Ahmad Bakarim presented a certificate of appreciation to the recipients.
According to Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie, this programme aimed to appreciate the contribution and devotion of the staff who have served this long and this year is the second year UMP celebrates the staff who have served for 20 years.
“This award is an encouragement to other employees and recognises those who work with dedication to advancing the university,” he said.
“In addition, the contributions and services of officers, lecturers and staff in these various fields will always be remembered and helped to develop the university more excellently.
“Therefore, I hope that the staff who receive this award will continue to carry out their duties and services excellently and share their experiences with other colleagues,” he said.
In the ceremony, two married couples were among 68 UMP staff who had served for 20 years in the ceremony.
The couple are Hazmin Aris who is the Senior Manager of the Academic and International Affairs Department and his partner, Mimi Rabita Abd Wahit who is the Senior Executive, Corporate Communications Division, Chancellery Department, and Sharmiza Abdullah, Assistant Senior Administrative Officer, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE) and her partner Mohd Tarmizi Ab Rahman, Information Technology Senior Executive, Knowledge Management and Information Technology Department.
