UMPSA strengthens industrial and alumni networks in INAP
PUTRAJAYA, 10 August 2023 - Professional collaboration with alumni in the Industry Network Alumni Platform (INAP) is a platform for Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) alumni to build relationships (networking), interact and contribute in their professional capacity.
INAP, which was established in 2017, is a platform and a commitment to collaboration to strengthen strategic networks between universities and industry.
The Industry Network Alumni Platform (INAP) engagement session with the UMPSA Vice-Chancellor and Student Affairs and Alumni Department (JHEPA) was held as an effort to strengthen industry and alumni networks.
According to the UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, this meeting would increase the synergy of potential collaboration and strengthen the role and function of INAP by formulating activities as well as collaboration programmes between INAP and the university.
“The university strongly welcomes the active involvement of INAP in the realisation of the UMPSA Strategic Plan 2021-2025 agenda and subsequently the management of alumni is crucial for a university, in addition to a person’s ongoing relationship with his alma mater.
“The University is always pleased to receive back contributions from its alumni in various capacities either through expertise, employment opportunities or financial contributions.
“INAP also has a specific objective of developing constructive ideas from the perspective of value-added and highly impactful alumni professionals through mutual involvement,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Interim Chairman of INAP/Alumni who is the General Manager, Permula Sdn. Bhd., Ts. Mohd Faiz Zulkifli said, as an alumnus, he welcomed this engagement session which was substantial and vital in making decisions about the direction of INAP since its establishment.
“This direction includes the registration of INAP as a legally registered entity and to carry out all activities and plans that have been formulated in the future,” he said.
He hoped that this meeting would be the starting point for the establishment of the INAP Cooperative (INAP-COOP) which would be a platform for the involvement of Alumni, UMPSA and Industry.
In addition, he hoped that such sessions could be organised periodically and regularly in the future by involving the Alumni Association and other relevant parties to strengthen the role of alumni and the university.
He further added that the university’s branding is also expected to help add value to all UMPSA alumni and strengthen the university’s best position and rating.
