Exciting Plans Ahead as UMPSA Postgraduate Association (PGA) 2025/2026 Builds Its Identity
PEKAN, 5 January 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) proudly introduces the new line-up of the Postgraduate Association (PGA), now officially placed under Akademi A.D.A.B, marking a new chapter in strengthening postgraduate development and representation at the university.
This strategic placement under Akademi A.D.A.B reflects UMPSA’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also leadership, values, and holistic student development among its postgraduate community.
Bringing together representatives from diverse academic backgrounds, the new PGA leadership reflects the vibrant and multidisciplinary postgraduate community at UMPSA.
Members of the association come from various academic backgrounds, including the Centre for Modern Languages, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences and the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology, Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology, Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, Faculty of Industrial Management, and Faculty of Computing.
With a shared commitment to academic excellence, student well-being, and meaningful engagement, the team aims to serve as a strong bridge between postgraduate students and the university.
Leading the association is Syazwani Najihah Mohamed Shamsuddin, a postgraduate student from the Centre for Mathematical Science, who will be supported by Wan Farhana Wan Idris as the Vice-President.
The administrative and organisational backbone of the association will be driven by Nurul Arisya Qareena Razaki (as the Secretary) and Nurul Haziyani Aris (as the Treasurer), ensuring smooth operations and transparent governance.

The line-up is further strengthened by committee members overseeing key portfolios such as Exco of Student Affairs, Exco of Academic Activities, Exco of Non-academic Activities, and Exco of Multimedia & Publicity.
Together, they aim to introduce initiatives that are not only impactful but also relevant to the evolving needs of postgraduate students.
Said Syazwani Najihah, this team is built on collaboration, inclusivity, and a genuine desire to make the postgraduate journey at UMPSA more meaningful and enjoyable.
“We look forward to working closely with the university and our fellow postgraduates to create a supportive and engaging environment,” she said.
The PGA has exciting plans to make the postgraduates' experience more fun and meaningful.
Members can look forward to networking sessions, sharing ideas about research and workshops to build useful skills as well as wellness activities and fun events like woodworking, social gatherings and collaborations with the faculties and industry partners.
There will also be Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, Qurban activities and official PGA merchandise, all aimed at helping postgraduates connect and making their postgraduate journey more meaningful.
At the same time, PGA is working to build a strong identity, making it known and recognisable to all UMPSA postgraduate students and industry partners.
While the goals are ambitious, the team is equally focused on keeping things approachable and, yes, enjoyable.
