UMP alumnus Aidisyahrul is now a Robotics Engineer
PEKAN, 13 March 2023 – Having been interested in robotics since childhood and having the opportunity to participate in a robotics competition when representing the district level at the age of 11 encouraged Aidisyahrul Hanif, 24, to continue to explore this field while studying at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP).
His dream came true when he was offered to serve in Robopreneur Sdn. Bhd., a bumiputera company that brings the future by increasing the ability of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered service robots to ease day-to-day work.
Aidisyahrul, a graduate of the Bachelor (Hons) of Mechatronic Engineering programme in collaboration with Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, (HKA) Germany, did not expect his task to enable him to operate a robot development programme involving several organisations throughout Malaysia.
He said that along with the advancement of the current technology, this robotic technology would certainly facilitate our affairs in the future.
“Now I am given the responsibility to conduct robot training for UMP staff involved in managing TEMI robots stationed at this university,” he said.
Sharing his one-year experience, one of the biggest challenges faced was the need to calculate the productivity and efficiency of a robot operating for a month at Hospital Bera.
He said that within a short time, he worked extra hours, studied, and asked for guidance from other experienced staff until the task was successfully completed.
“Becoming a robotic engineer requires a lot of patience and dedication to succeed.
“Especially in designing and testing robots, managing robots and mastering automated systems that allow the robot to perform tasks effectively and accurately according to customer needs,” he said.
This Kluang-born lad hoped to have his own company and bring Malaysia’s name internationally.
Aidisyahrul also left a message to other students to never give up on any challenges.
“If you feel unable to face it, dare to ask for help and encouragement from the closest people and experts,” he said.
He highly appreciates his employer, colleagues and lecturers, who always encourage him to succeed in this field.
