UMPSA solicitude for Felda Rentam citizens in the TVET Promotion Mission in Bera
BERA, 27 July 2024 - Volunteers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), comprising 20 staff members and 14 students, participated in the ‘Ziarah Prihatin’ Programme to local residents in Felda Rentam recently.
Concerned with the hardships faced by some families, the ‘Ziarah Prihatin’ Squad, led by the Head of the Chancellery Department, Muhamad Faisal Mohd Yasin, visited 20 family homes in Felda Rentam, distributing ‘Rahmah’ donations to each.
“This ‘Ziarah Prihatin’ programme is one of UMPSA's initiatives to help ease the burden of Felda Rentam residents in particular.
"Hopefully, with the donation of this mercy basket, we can alleviate a little bit of the burden they bear,” said Muhamad Faisal.
Nur Shafiqah Hasan Saari, a resident of Felda Rentam, expressed her gratitude for UMPSA's support.
“Thank you, UMPSA, for coming to Felda Rentam.
“The assistance provided is very helpful, especially in these uncertain economic times.
“I am also very happy because with a programme like this, we as Felda citizens can be exposed to TVET, especially for the younger generation and school students," she said.
This ‘Ziarah Prihatin’ programme was held in conjunction with the TVET Promotional Tour Programme in Felda Rentam, Bera, which lasted for two days from 27 to 28 July 2024.
The TVET Promotional Tour also included a variety of activities benefiting local residents, such as the UMPSA Educational Exhibition and Mini Carnival by UMPSA lecturers and researchers, a Motivation Session with UMPSA Psychology Officer, Nur Atiqah Mohd Nor, an UMPSA Academic Briefing by Abdul Qayyum Zulkifli, a Dual Degree Briefing by the Director of the Centre for Strategic Academic Collaboration (PKSA), Professor Mayda Ts.
