Despite losing his father, Muhammad Farhad excels in Data Analytics

GAMBANG, 26 October 2024 – Muhammad Farhad Khaharruddin, 23, was still stunned when his name was announced as the recipient of the Academic Excellence Award from the Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) at the 19th Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).

This award is a recognition of his outstanding achievements and hard work throughout his studies, where he succeeded in earning a first-class degree in Data Analytics.

Farhad has gone through various challenges that truly tested his strength.

As the youngest of eight brothers, he realised the importance of helping his family.

He expressed that he was very surprised to receive this award but was immensely grateful that all his efforts had not been in vain.

“Before losing my beloved father, Khaharrudin Awang Mohd, 70, during the first semester of my studies, my family and I faced a tough test when my father was bedridden after suffering a stroke.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to online learning, I had to take turns caring for my father while attending classes.

“The loss of my father was the hardest moment of my life, but I continued my efforts for the sake of my mother,” he said.

He added that his late father and mother had sacrificed a lot, and this success is dedicated to both of them.

“I have also faced failures in life, but those experiences taught me the meaning of resilience and perseverance.

“Failure is not the end but an opportunity to learn and improve; every mistake I encountered provided valuable lessons that shaped me into a better person.

“I am extremely grateful to my friends and lecturers who helped me so much in terms of learning,” he said.

He realised that his success was not solely due to his efforts but also the result of the support and assistance from friends who were always by his side.

“We helped each other, and that is incredibly valuable.

“When life pushes you hard, learn to rise and push back harder,” he said with enthusiasm.

Muhammad Farhad also emphasised the importance of sharing knowledge.

“If we have knowledge, we should generously share it by teaching others.

“Knowledge is a trust that needs to be shared so that its benefits can be felt by many,” he stressed.

Despite losing his father, Muhammad Farhad excels in Data Analytics

He aspires to become a solopreneur with a desire to start his own business in the field of technology while contributing to the nation’s development.

He also wants to help empower the technology sector in Malaysia and use his expertise to make a positive impact on society.

Despite facing various trials, Muhammad Farhad never gave up.

His dedication to his studies and his dream of making his mother proud has inspired many.

“This success is for my mother and my family, and I will continue striving for a better future for us,” he said emotionally.
