UMPSA welcomes 2,313 new students, enlivening 2025/2026 Academic Session
PEKAN, 27 September 2025 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received a total of 2,313 new students who began registering today for Semester I of the 2025/2026 Academic Session at both campuses in Pekan and Gambang.
The registration process, which began this morning, proceeded smoothly through a drive-through method with the attendance of students accompanied by their respective families from all over the country.
The arrival of these new students marks the beginning of their academic journey at UMPSA, which not only emphasises academic excellence but also focuses on leadership development, soft skills, and personal character throughout the course of their studies.
UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias, was also present to engage with students and parents, offering words of encouragement for the new students to make the most of the opportunity to gain knowledge.
In her speech, she welcomed the new students to UMPSA and described this as the start of a meaningful journey.
“Your presence today holds great significance as it marks the beginning of a new journey in acquiring knowledge and experience at this university.
“Make use of your time at UMPSA to achieve success that not only makes you and your family proud, but also contributes to the nation and the community.
“We at UMPSA are always committed to providing support and guidance to ensure your success in academics, career, and life,” she said.
Also present were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Dato Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rusllim Mohamed; Director of the Centre for Inclusive Services (PPi), Dr. Munira Abdul Razak; and General Manager of the Student Affairs and Alumni Department (JHEPA), Haryani Abdullah.
UMPSA also ensured that the best facilities and infrastructure were provided so that the registration process ran smoothly and provided comfort to all parties, while helping students adapt to campus life.
