3 UMPSA academic staff appointed professors
PEKAN, 14 August 2024 - Three Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) academic staff received an appointment letter for promotion to the position of VK7 Special Grade Professor from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, today.
They are Professor Ts. Dr. Abdul Adam Abdullah and Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Ruzaimi Mat Rejab from the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA) and Professor Ts. Dr. Hamdan Daniyal from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (FTKEE).
Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie congratulated the three professors who passed all stages of evaluation for this position.
“The University has high hopes for UMPSA professors to be role models for colleagues to ensure that all are able to take steps to drive excellence at the individual, university and international levels,” he said.
He also emphasised the greater responsibility that these three professors had to bear in line with this promotion.
“Hopefully, the awarding of this position can be best used in developing strategic links between the university and stakeholders that can benefit the university, especially in helping towards the employability of UMPSA graduates,” he said.
He also emphasised the success of the projects that have been carried out in the faculty that successfully become proof of concept and in turn attract the interest of the industry to collaborate and contribute to the university.
In addition, it will be a stepping stone in strengthening relations with industry to increase the university’s visibility and thus bring more benefits in the future.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Ts. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, Associate Professor Dr. Syarifah Nur Aqida Syed Ahmad representing FTKMA and the General Manager of Human Resources, Haji Abdul Shukur Ishak.
