“Participation in PALAPES demonstrates the high level of patriotism, volunteerism, and resilience of UMPSA Cadet Officers.

“These qualities are essential and should be ingrained in every cadet officer,” he said.

The exercise is a key component of the 2024 UMPSA Land PALAPES Annual Camp Training, which runs for 15 days from 13 to 27 July 2024.

This year marks the first time UMPSA Land PALAPES has been selected to conduct joint training with the 505 Territorial Soldier Regiment.

A total of 88 cadet officers are participating in this year's Annual Training Camp.

The camp was officially opened on 13 July 2024 at Sungai Miang Camp, Pekan.

The field training, known as the Tiger Strike Exercise, focuses on Conventional Warfare (CW) and involved 19 senior cadet officers and members of the 505 Territorial Soldier Regiment.

This training took place at Lepar Hilir 4, 5, and 6 from 14 to 20 July 2024.

The CW training includes four phases: defense, retreat, advance, and attack.

The Field Training Exercise (FTX) concept used here tests and enhances the participants' knowledge, aligning with the Army Commander's Supreme Command, which emphasizes preparedness, organizational sustainability, and leadership character.

This training also supports UMPSA's Strategic Objective of producing well-rounded graduates.

Also present to observe the training were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Lt. Col. Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, and the Director of the A.D.A.B Academy, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Nizam Mohmad Kahar.
