"IMI is one of the automotive institutions authorized to issue professional and competency certificates for high-powered vehicles, over 60V DC.

"Trainees who receive professional certificates from IMI are eligible to work abroad, as these certificates are recognized internationally by IMI.

"This achievement enables the birth of more skilled and globally recognized technical trainees, especially in the field of electric vehicle maintenance, which is produced by manufacturers from around the world," he said.

He added that the effort to obtain the training centre certification began two years ago with the development of an EV laboratory, benchmarking activities, and training for the teaching staff.

"By achieving this qualification, UMPSA will provide training for obtaining a Professional Certificate for EV maintenance recognized by IMI to UMPSA students.

"Furthermore, this benefits the industry and community by providing training services.

"UMPSA greatly appreciates the support of the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) and the commitment of everyone involved in ensuring success in this recognition," he said.
