Marsya Iwani Syahirah, new UMPSA student, continues her studies in engineering technology
GAMBANG, 8 March 2025 – Marsya Iwani Syahirah Mohd Izwan is a new student at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and will be pursuing her Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Energy and Environment) with Honours.
Marsya, the second of three siblings, is now stepping into university life after completing her diploma studies.
She began her academic journey by enrolling in the Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology (Green Building) at Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA (KKTM) Sri Gading, where she achieved an outstanding CGPA of 3.98.
She stated that she chose UMPSA as her educational destination because it offers a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with her ambition to further explore the field of green building.
“I am very happy and grateful to be part of the UMPSA community.
“Since secondary school, I have been interested in the field of engineering.
“UMPSA provides the best opportunity for me to progress further in this field,” she expressed.
Throughout her studies at UMPSA, Marsya hopes to gain valuable guidance and knowledge that is relevant to industry demands.
“I aspire to contribute significantly to the country when I enter the workforce one day.
“I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to my mother, who has always given me unwavering support, as well as my sister, younger sibling, grandfather, and grandmother, who have always been by my side.
“Thank you also to UMPSA for giving me the opportunity to be part of this institution,” she said.
She further added that without the sacrifices of her late father, she would not have been able to be where she is today.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias, also took the time to meet Marsya during the new student registration session and offered words of encouragement.
May Marsya’s academic journey at UMPSA be a successful one, inspiring the younger generation to continue pursuing their dreams.
