Father’s strength inspires Wan Nur Ainna, receives Yayasan Pahang Excellence Prize
PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 – The loss of her beloved mother, Maisarah Hilal Mohd Alwi, in the final year of diploma study due to stroke, made Wan Nur Ainna Amirah Wan Zulkifli bounced back to pursue her bachelor’s degree.
She said her father’s enthusiasm, Wan Zulkifli Wan Abdullah, 57, who worked alone inspired her to obtain Dean’s List Award every semester.
“This award is also a gift for my late mother,” she said.
Wan Nur Ainna graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.78, qualifying her for the Yayasan Pahang Excellence Prize presented by the UMP Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Abi Musa Asa’ari Mohamed Nor at the UMP 17th Convocation Ceremony.
The youngest of the four siblings is currently studying in a master’s programme at UMP.
Meanwhile, Nur Fauzana Raihana Fouzi, hailed from Muadzam Shah, Pahang, who also received the Yayasan Pahang Excellence Prize, said that the Best Academic Award at the Dining-In in conjunction with the Royal Commission of the Air Cadet ROTU Officials was among the most beautiful memories during her study at UMP.
“Although the daily schedule was packed with learning activities, it did not prevent me from participating actively in the co-curriculum.
“ROTU not only teaches military knowledge but also emphasises service to the community.
“Always maintaining the relationship with Allah SWT and human is my life principle,” said the third of the five siblings.
