Identical twins excited to receive degrees together

GAMBANG, 24 October 2023 – A pair of twins received their degrees together in the same field, namely Bachelor of Electronics Engineering Technology (Computer Systems) and it was a sweet moment for them at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) 18th Convocation Ceremony at the Sports Complex Hall recently.

Identical twins Hong Zhuang Yuan, 25, and Hong Zhuang Shenini, 25, expressed their excitement at being able to celebrate such a meaningful day with their twin and loved ones.

More interestingly, they graduated with the same Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.92.

Hong Zhuang Yuan earned the Faculty Gold Award while Hong Zhuang Shenini received the Programme Excellence Award.

The sons of Hong Sim Ling and Seng Kar Ling said that they had never separated ever since they were kids and they continued their studies in the same field when stepping into the university.

Sharing his experience on campus, Yuan said that he and his twin were always together throughout their studies at UMPSA.

They also shared a room, so they did many things together.

He expresses his gratitude to his parents who have sacrificed so much to provide the best education for them.

“Not to forget our appreciation and gratitude towards UMPSA lecturers and comrades in arms.

He added, “We are both currently working as Electronics Development Engineers at Bosch Sdn.  Bhd.

“I can’t believe we were able to work at the same company.

“We won’t waste this opportunity and work our hardest.

“Now, it’s time for us to repay our parents who have retired,” he said with a smile.
