Losing her father in final semester, Siti Hawa resolves to achieve excellence at UMPSA
GAMBANG, 29 October 2024 – Siti Hawa’s determination to make her family proud, especially in honour of her late father, was proven today as she successfully earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree (Part-Time Programme) during the 19th Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).
Siti Hawa, who has always been active in sports, achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.69 and was thrilled to be named the recipient of the UMPSA Advanced Excellence Award (Part-Time Programme).
According to this native of Felda Tenggaroh 6, Mersing, success is not impossible for those who work hard.
“Do my best, Allah SWT is there, and knowledge must be sought.
“Throughout my studies, I faced many challenges, such as managing my time between academics, work responsibilities, and my role as a wife.
“I always believe that with hard work and support from my family and employer, I can achieve my dreams,” she shared.
She mentioned that she viewed every challenge as an opportunity to learn and rise above it.
“This award will be a sweet memory for me and my family.
“This memory will remain beautifully etched within me,” said Siti Hawa, who previously received the UMPSA Dean’s List Award in 2020.
When asked about her plans, Siti Hawa stated that she hopes to contribute her expertise in chemical engineering by applying all the knowledge and guidance she has received, particularly in operations and technical management in the industry she is involved in.
