Shahnizan Imran receives Ir. Kee Book Hee Excellence Award at UMPSA
GAMBANG, 26 October 2024 – Moving at one’s own pace but stepping out of one’s comfort zone is the principle and key to success for Shahnizan Imran Mohd Nazri, 24, the recipient of the Ir. Kee Book Hee Excellence Award at the 19th Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Convocation Ceremony, held at the Sports Complex Hall, UMPSA Gambang Campus.
He also adheres to the principle of not being affected by negative words or views from others seeking to bring him down.
He expressed his gratitude to his parents, who constantly provided encouragement and inspired him.
“Certainly, the success I have achieved today is hoped to bring smiles and happiness to them.
“I also aspire to improve my family’s life for the better, and this is my greatest determination,” he stated.
Inspired by his father, Mohd Nazri bin Ghazali, 49, a retired soldier, Shahnizan hopes to achieve even more success in the future.
The graduate of the Bachelor of Civil Engineering Technology (Infrastructure Management) with Honours from the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology (FTKA) said that UMPSA is renowned for its strong relationships with the industry.
“This is an advantage that allows students to gain exposure through practical training and real-world working experiences.
“Additionally, the balance between theoretical teaching and co-curricular activities helps encourage the development of soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and ethics,” he said.
He is now continuing his studies in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (fast track) programme in Civil Engineering at UMPSA.
