Siblings Nurul Eshfahanny and Muhammad Ishfahan share the stage at UMPSA’s 19th Convocation
GAMBANG, 27 October 2024 – A pair of siblings created a sweet memory when they shared the stage and their joy after each received their diploma and degree at the 19th Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Convocation Ceremony.
They are Muhammad Ishfahan Shah Roslee, 26, a graduate of the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Petroleum), and his younger sister, Nurul Eshfahanny Sofea Roslee, 21, a Diploma in Civil Engineering graduate.
Ishfahan is now working as an Engineer at Euro Tech Asia International Sdn. Bhd., while Eshfahanny Sofea is continuing her studies in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering programme.
During an interview, both expressed their happiness and gratitude for this achievement.
According to Sofea, their parents were the happiest, as they entered the convocation hall on two consecutive days to witness each of them receive their degree and diploma.
Sofea noted that the age difference between her and her brother is five years.
“Throughout my studies, many did not know that my brother and I are siblings.
“Only my close friends knew, as I was more comfortable keeping it that way, even though we were both based at the same campus, UMPSA Gambang Campus,” shared the youngest of three siblings.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Ishfahan expressed his gratitude for now being employed in his dream field.
“I would like to thank UMPSA lecturers, who are experienced in the oil and gas industry, for sharing their knowledge with students.
“For me, the facilities at UMPSA are among the best.
“UMPSA has new technology comparable to that used in the real industry.
“For example, UMPSA has a drilling simulator related to oil and gas exploration,” he said.
In fact, UMPSA students get to experience the same technology or machines used in the job market.
“This undoubtedly provides valuable experience to students, ensuring that they will not feel awkward when they face the working world later,” he said.
