Malam Sanjungan Budi for Dato' Sri Mohd Hilmey Mohd Taib
Kuantan, 19 Februari – Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) organized Malam Sanjungan Budi, a celebration dedicated to appreciate the contributions of former Chairman of UMP Board of Directors, Dato’ Sri Mohd Hilmey Mohd Taib and its two former members, Dato’ Ahmad Azmey Abu Talib as well as Dato’ Ir. Jamaludin Osman.
Professor Dato' Sri Ts. Dr. Daing Nasir said, UMP appreciates and thanked them for their exemplary guidance and contributions towards UMP. Dato’ Sri Hilmey has been with us since Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan & Teknologi Malaysia (KUKTEM). He has been with us all these years and all these memories will always be close at heart and we are so indebted to you," he said in his speech.
In conjunction with Dato’ Sri Mohd Hilmey 11 years of service, UMP published a book named 4018 Day: Dato’ Sri Mohd Hilmey Mohd Taib as a farewell gift from the university.
This book showcased a glimpse of Dato' Sri Mohd Hilmey professional contributions during his tenure as Chairman of UMP Board of Directors within the four phases of UMP Strategic Plan, which is Foundation a Technical University (2002-2007); Strengthening Foundation, Generating Excellence (2008-2010); First Choice Technological University (2011-2015) and Generating Glory (2016-2020).
The dinner was also attended by the new appointed Chairman of UMP Board of Directors, Dato’ Sri Ibrahim Ahmad, top managements, head of departments and Students Representative Council.
