UMP Alumni Association distributes hand sanitisers to frontliners
As an appreciation to the frontliners who have been working tirelessly around the clock to fight the Covid-19 outbreak, the UMP Alumni Association (Alumni UMP) contributed hand sanitisers to UMP Security Division and Kuantan District Health Office on 3 April 2020.
According to the Vice-President of Alumni UMP, Mohd Najib Razali, the contribution was one of the social responsibility initiatives to the community during the Covid-19 outbreak by focusing on the frontliners who are working hard to break the virus chain.
“The association contributes 30 bottles of 1 L hand sanitisers with a total value of RM1,500.00
“This hand sanitiser is a UMP product via its subsidiary company, UMP Technology Sdn. Bhd. (wholly owned by UMP Holdings Sdn. Bhd.).
“This contribution is given to the staff on duty at the UPM Operation Room and Kuantan District Health Office,” he said.
UMP Alumni Association has also launched triUMPH Frontliners Fund in collaboration with UMP Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (UMPH).
This fund is aimed at supplying drinking water to the frontliners who are working around the clock to fight this outbreak.
This initiative was realised to ensure these heroes remain hydrated and energetic as they work on average 15-18 hours daily.
He added, the frontliners are the heroes who sacrifice energy and time to curb the spread of the outbreak.
“For those who want to help may do so by contributing to this fund under the UMP Alumni Association through Maybank (5562226414032), with the reference of DRINKING.
“A piece of advice for everyone, let us help our frontliners to overcome this outbreak by promoting the hashtag #kitajagakita,” he said.
