UMP, HsMA seal collaboration in Business Engineering Dual Degree programme
GERMANY, 3 June 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hochschule Mannheim (HsMA) Germany to implement academic and student staff exchange programmes for both universities.
Also held at this meeting was a face-to-face document exchange of cooperation agreement.
The agreement was signed online on 9 February 2022 to implement the Dual Degree in Business Engineering programme involving the Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI), UMP with the Faculty of Engineering and Management, HsMA.
According to the Chairman of the UMP Board of Directors, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, this programme will provide an opportunity for both parties to explore research collaboration and expertise sharing in the field of engineering and technology to improve graduate employability.
“In the meantime, a discussion was also held to plan for the next collaboration for the Dual Degree programme in Chemical Engineering,” he said, leading the delegation on a working visit to Germany.
Also present was the Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Industrial and Community Collaboration Division, Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Nurul Hazlina Nordin.
The delegation also visited several laboratories related to future technology.
Also with the delegation were the Director of the Centre for Academic Strategic Cooperation, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Ruzaimi Mat Rejab, Director of the Career Placement & Development Centre, Associate Professor Dr. Saiful Anwar Che Ghani and Executive, Research and Innovation Department, Hardyana Mohd Saman.
While HsMA was represented by Professor Dr. Thomas Schüssler, the Vice President of Teaching, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Management, Professor Dr. Matthias Klimmer and Director of the International Office, Ann Müller.
Also present were the Programme Director (International Engineering Management), Professor Dr. Stephan Altmann and International Program Coordinator (Process Engineering). Professor Dr. Werner Diewald.
