3 sets of twins excited during convocation
PAYA BESAR, 6 November 2022 - Three sets of twins were excited to celebrate the graduation ceremony together during the 17th UMP Convocation Ceremony.
They were Mohammad Amir Arsyad Abdul Aziz and Mohammad Amir Asyraf Abdul Aziz, Nur Adilah Abdul Halem and Nur Atiqah Abdul Halem, and Foo Jing Wen and Foo Jing Ying.
Everyone was excited to be able to celebrate this momentous day with their respective twins and loved ones.
Mohammad Amir Arsyad Abdul Aziz and Mohammad Amir Asyraf Abdul Aziz, 25, graduated with the same degree, Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Chemistry with Honours.
According to Amir Asyraf, they were always together from childhood until they succeeded in studying in the same field at university.
This Kelantan-born lad was also excited to share the same stage with his twin and give his family the first experience during this ceremony.
The twins Nur Adilah Abdul Halem, graduand of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Chemistry with Honours and Nur Atiqah Abdul Halem, B. Eng (Hons.) Chemical Engineering, said that during the four years at the university, they always studied together even though they were not roommates and not in the same programme.
“I would like to thank my parents who sacrificed so much to provide the best education for us.
“Not forgetting UMP lecturers and friends,” she said.
“I intend to continue my study to the master’s level one day,” said Nur Adilah, the fifth of seven siblings.
Foo Jing Wen and Foo Jing Ying were delighted to be able to continue their studies at the same university because they love computing.
Foo Jing Weng graduated with the Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) with Honours with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.67, while Foo Jing Ying graduated with the Bachelor of Computer Science (Graphic & Multimedia Technology) with Honours with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.59.
Foo Jing Wen is currently serving as a Software Engineer and her sister is a Software Development Engineer at a company in Bangsar.
