4 married couples among 24 UMP staff selected for Dhuyufurrahman

PEKAN, May 25, 2023 - A total of 24 staff members from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) will be performing the Hajj pilgrimage after receiving offers to fulfill the fifth pillar of Islam this year.

They were celebrated in a Majlis Doa Selamat (Blessing Ceremony) organized by the Registrar's Department, which took place recently at UMP Pekan.

UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, congratulated the selected staff members who will be performing the Hajj pilgrimage this year.

He also advised them to remain patient during their religious duties and to take care of their health to ensure the perfection of their Hajj rituals.

"Undoubtedly, the chosen pilgrims have fully prepared themselves to become Dhuyufurrahman, and I would like to advise them to prioritize their health, especially in the current hot weather.

"The university also prays for the strength and good health of all the pilgrims throughout their Hajj journey and hopes that they will be able to perform it flawlessly.

May all the affairs of these chosen pilgrims be facilitated and may they achieve an accepted Hajj," he said.

At the same time, he presented a contribution from the university to the selected Hajj pilgrims.

This group consists of four married couples, namely the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology (FTKA), Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Fadzil Mat Yahaya, and his spouse Noranita Mohamad from the Registrar's Department, Dr. Norhilda Abdul Karim from the University Health Center, along with her husband Ts. Mohd Nurulakla Mohd Azlan from the Property Development and Management Center (PPPH).

Others include Dr. Ahmed Mokhtar Albshir Budiea from the Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM) and his spouse Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Khairunisa Muthusamy from FTKA.

Also present are Khairu Aidilnishah Rizan Jalil from the Vice-Chancellor's Office (PNC) and his wife Nazifah Zahari from the Internal Audit Unit.
