103 UMP ROTU Cadet Officers commissioned

BANGI, 10 September 2022 - A total of 103 PALAPES cadet officers of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) were commissioned in the 40th Royal Commissioning of Cadet Officers of the Reserve Officer Training Unit (ROTU) of the Public University (UA) at Dewan Gemilang, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) here recently.

The ceremony was graced by the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Riayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and also attended by the Senior Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Chief of the Armed Forces (ATM), Tan Sri Affendi Buang and UKM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Ekhwan Toriman.

A total of 1,024 Army Cadet Officers (TDM), 277 Cadet Officers of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) and 324 Cadet Officers of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) were commissioned.

In the ceremony, LT M. Amir Zuhaili Abdul Karim was named the Best Cadet Officer of TDM, while LT Muhammad Amirul Fadhli Muhammad Fuzi was named the RMAF’s Best Cadet Officer.

Also named the Best Cadet Officer was LT M. Muhammad Bashirullah Bahran for RMAF.

The ceremony involved 1,625 ROTU cadet officers from 19 UA throughout Malaysia, led by the Senior Under Officer (SUO), Muhammad Badrul Amin from UKM ROTU.
