GAMBANG, 10 June 2025 – The Leadership Talk Programme organised by the Students’ Representative Council (MPP) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) featured the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, YB Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Johari Abdul, as the invited figure at Dewan Astaka, UMPSA Gambang Campus.

This programme, part of the Distinguished Figures Talk Series initiative, provided students with direct exposure to a national figure in the fields of leadership and governance.

UMPSA receives Proton X50 for teaching and learning

PEKAN, 13 June 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received a new boost in its effort to strengthen teaching and learning based on automotive technology when it received two Proton X50 vehicles from the national car manufacturer, PROTON, recently.

The official handover of the vehicles took place in conjunction with the UMPSA 2025 Quality and Innovation Day (HKI) Ceremony held at the Multipurpose Hall, UMPSA Pekan.

GAMBANG, 10 June 2025 – In conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), through the Centre for Islamic and Human Development (PIMPIN), in collaboration with the Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS) and the UMPSA Postgraduate Association 2025 (PGA 2025), organised the Ibadah Korban programme involving the slaughtering of nine cows at UMPSA Gambang Campus.

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 June 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and Ningxia University (NXU), China, celebrated a meaningful decade of academic collaboration with the 10th UMPSA-NXU Strategic Synergy Dinner held at Irama Dining, Kuala Lumpur.

The event was graced by the presence of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Dato’ Ir. Ts. Dr Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, who attended on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Yatimah Alias.

UMPSA establishes China-Malaysia Regional Vocational Skills Centre to offer Mandarin language courses with vocational skills

KUALA LUMPUR, 4 June 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has established the China–Malaysia Chinese Plus Vocational Skills Regional Development Center (Malaysia), a regional centre for vocational skills development through a formal collaboration between UMPSA, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), and Hebei University.

The China–Malaysia Regional Vocational Skills Centre established at UMPSA is the second of its kind in the world, following the one in Africa.

DEWBoard and EDUNEXA win CITREX 2025 Best of the Best Awards

GAMBANG, 19 June 2025 – A project titled ‘DEWBoard’ by a lecturer from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Nurul Wahidah Arshad, won the Best of the Best Award in the staff category at the 15th Creation, Innovation, Technology & Research Exposition (CITREX) 2025.

According to Nurul Wahidah, DEWBoard is a learning kit for the Digital Electronics course, which is a foundational course for all programmes at FTKEE.

GAMBANG, 20 June 2025 – A group of researchers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), led by a Senior Lecturer from the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FSTI), ChM. Dr Wan Norfazilah Wan Ismail, has successfully developed LabQuest, an innovative board game that adapts the principles of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards in the form of a real laboratory management simulation.

PEKAN, 19 June 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has risen to the 609th position globally in the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) 2026, recently announced.

This position maintains UMPSA’s standing as the number one best technical university among the Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN).

Even more proudly, for the faculty citation indicator, UMPSA ranks second best in Malaysia.
