UMPSA offers 44 bachelor’s degree and 8 diploma programmes in various industry-required fields

KUANTAN, 23 February 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) offers 44 Bachelor’s degree and eight diploma programmes for students in various fields aligned with industry needs.

These academic programmes cover engineering, engineering technology, management, applied sciences, and computing.

Students can obtain information about UMPSA’s academic offerings through the Jom Masuk U 2025 (JMU 2025) education roadshow, which began its first leg at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Kuantan Campus in the East Zone I recently.

This higher education roadshow will tour ten zones nationwide and is set to conclude on 18 May 2025.

According to the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias, Jom Masuk U is an annual event and an initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) aimed at providing students with opportunities and exposure regarding admission to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

“UMPSA will also participate in this Jom Masuk U tour across Malaysia to offer guidance and insight to prospective students in selecting the most suitable programmes, particularly for UPUOnline® applicants for the 2025/2026 Academic Session,” she stated.

She also advised students, parents, guardians, teachers, counsellors, and the public not to miss this opportunity to obtain academic information and guidance to ensure students make informed decisions when choosing their field of study.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Dato’ Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, expressed UMPSA’s pride in meeting the families of students interested in pursuing studies at UMPSA, particularly in its dual degree programmes.

“There are currently 11 dual degree programmes offered at UMPSA, providing various benefits to students, including dual degree awards from two educational institutions (UMPSA and its partner universities), holistic education with a practical approach, and recognition from both Malaysian and international accreditation bodies.

“These dual degree programmes are the result of strategic partnerships with Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA), Germany; Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (HMA), Germany; Tianjin University and Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), China; Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU), Kazakhstan; and most recently, Hanyang University Erica Campus, South Korea,” he stated.

The Opening Ceremony of Jom Masuk U 2025 East Zone I at IIUM Kuantan Campus was officiated by Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Panglima Perang Pahang, Lieutenant Tengku Ahmad Ismail Mu’adzam Shah ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, representing Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang.

Her Royal Highness also graced the UMPSA exhibition booth and interacted with the university representatives.

Also present were the Chairman of the Pahang State Committee on Investment, Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Mohamad Nizar Dato’ Sri Mohamad Najib, representing the Chief Minister of Pahang, and the Deputy Director-General (Academic and Research) of the Department of Higher Education, Professor Dr. Zainal Amin Ayub.

Various exciting activities were held throughout JMU 2025, including exhibitions, UPUOnline® consultation sessions, financial aid and scholarship advisory services, visits to public university booths, lucky draws, campus tours, student performances, alumni engagement activities, interactive zones, entrepreneurship activities, and more.
