Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) undergraduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering & Manufacturing (FKMP), Hassan Al Faiz Mohamed Ahmed Hafez – who is undergoing the dual-degree programme coordinated by UMP and HsKA University of Applied Sciences of Germany, for a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Automotive Engineering – lucked out when he was selected to be the recipient of the Mercedes-Benz (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (MBM) scholarship for the duration of his baccalaureate.

Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Ridzuan Darun has been appointed as the new Registrar and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) for two years effective March 15, 2019.

Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Ridzuan, 45, is currently the Dean for Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM) and has vast experience in the field of management.

Concerned about the negative habit of Malaysians who love to use more-than-necessary oil when cooking – which tend to result in accumulation of saturated fat in their bodies – three researchers at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) have collaborated to produce Palm-O-Lite, a palm-oil based aerosol to be used in culinary industry to facilitate cooking while simultaneously promoting a healthy lifestyle.
 

Kota Kinabalu, 18 Mac - Bertindak sebagai penghubung antara ahli akademik bersama pihak industri dan masyarakat, Jabatan Jaringan Industri & Masyarakat (ICoN) baru- baru ini melebarkan peluang jaringan kerjasama strategik melibatkan beberapa agensi di Sabah.

Melalui penerokaan dan perkongsian strategik ini, ICoN dilihat dapat mengukuhkan lagi proses libat sama bersama pihak industri serta komuniti di samping berperanan lebih terarah dan efektif sejajar dengan perubahan ke arah Industry Revolution 4.0.

Pekan, 13 Mac- Mahasiswa Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) dari Fakulti Kejuruteraan Mekanikal dan Pembuatan (FKMP), Hassan Al Faiz Mohamed Ahmed Hafez yang sedang mengikuti pengajian program kerjasama UMP-HsKA iaitu Ijazah Sarjana Muda (Kepujian) Kejuruteraan Automotif bertuah dipilih menerima biasiswa daripada Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) Sdn Bhd sepanjang pengajian di universiti ini.

Kuantan, 18 Mac- Perpustakaan Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) membenarkan pembayaran denda lewat pemulangan bahan menggunakan botol minuman plastik atau tin yang mula dilaksanakan sejak 13 Mac lalu menerusi program Waste4Fine sebagai menyokong inisiatif program UI Greenmetrics yang sedang dijalankan di universiti ini.

To commemorate the 17th anniversary of the foundation of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), the Alumni Industry Networking Hi-Tea programme for the Northern Zone on March 2, 2019, saw a successful gathering of 60 alumnus, who happily reminisced their student days and campus life at the university. 

Concern about the environmental impact arising from industrial waste, researcher from the Faculty of Technology Engineering (FTeK) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Dr. Nadzirah Mohd Mokhtar, took the initiative to invent a membrane distillation system to treat waste-water from several industries, like rubber, palm oil and textile factories, and food and beverage.

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) jointly organised the International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engineering and Nanotechnology (ICAMEN 2019) on March 9, 2019.

The conference, which was held in Jaipur, India attracted more than 200 research papers from around the world.

Pekan, 15 Mac- Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Ridzuan Darun dilantik sebagai Pendaftar yang juga Ketua Pegawai Operasi (COO) Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) yang baharu berkuatkuasa mulai 15 Mac ini untuk tempoh dua tahun.
