CSR Program-Occupational Health and Safety (K3) awareness among Laboratory Workers and Researchers at the School of Engineering, Telkom University

BANDUNG, 13 August 2025 - Occupational Health and Safety Training – a CSR initiative for lab workers and researchers at Telkom University - learn directly from senior lecturers of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), which was successfully conducted on 13 August 2025 at Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia.

This program has been conducted by the Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology, UMPSA, in collaboration with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, TELKOM University and was conducted at the Multimedia Room, A Building, Bandung Techno Park, Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia.

The program starts from 09.00-15.00 (Indonesia Time) and was officially opened by Professor Dr. Ahmad Rizal, S.T., M.T., the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, TELKOM University.

Three (3) senior lecturers from the OSHE cluster in the OSH Program, FIST-UMPSA have been invited as speakers for this program. Ts. Dr Hanida Abdul Aziz has given a talk on OSH Fundamental, Dr. Mirta Widia gave a talk on Hazard and Risk Assessment, while Dr. Wan Norlinda Roshana Moh Nawi gave a talk on Risk Control.

The objectives of the program are to enhance lab workers and researchers’ awareness of the importance of occupational safety and health in general, assist lab workers and researchers in identifying hazards related to laboratory activities, and promote collaboration between UMPSA and international universities in building closer relationships.

The program was attended by 60 participants, aligning with the objective to broaden knowledge and strengthen awareness of safety and health in laboratory and research activities.

The program received an enthusiastic response, with active participation from all attendees. Throughout the training sessions, participants showed remarkable commitment and strong teamwork.

Impressively, the hall remained filled with participants right up to the final session. The positive reception reflects the growing awareness and interest in enhancing knowledge and skills in this field.

Many participants expressed that the program not only broadened their understanding but also motivated them to apply the insights gained in their daily academic and professional activities.

The organizers extend their deepest appreciation to all who contributed to the success of this program, including the Centre of Excellence Sustainable Energy and Climate Change, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, TELKOM University, through Dr. Farah Ramadhani, Dr. Oon Erixno, Lindiasari Martha, and Professor Dr. Ir. Jangkung Raharjo, M.T., for their support in securing participants from the technical laboratory team and researchers, as well as for providing the training hall.

Special thanks are also extended to the participants from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, TELKOM University, for their active involvement.
