UMP UC special plate numbers bid opens 1 February
PAYA BESAR, 28 January 2022 - The special registration plate number of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), UC, will be bid from 1 to 14 February.
The bidding process will be done online with a bid value starting at RM1,000 for four-digit numbers and RM200,000 for single-digit numbers.
Meanwhile, UMP students and staff have the opportunity to get a special price when it is offered to start on 25 February 2022.
According to the Chairman of LPU, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, who is also the Chairman of Yayasan UMP, they targeted RM3.5 million for the first phase of the sale of the registration number series with the bidding process being handled by the appointed company, Aquatwo Sdn. Bhd.
“The selection of UC registration numbers is something unique that UMP offers.
“The UC combination represents the letter U as the first prefix from the word UMP while C is the official prefix registration number for the state which is also the identity of Pahang,” he said in the handover of UC special plate numbers ceremony at the UMP Gambang campus here.
Also present were Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin who performs the functions of the Vice-Chancellor of UMP and Managing Director of Aquatwo Sdn Bhd., Datin Nabiha Mustapha.
He added that the sale followed the call and initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) which targeted all public universities to generate their own income.
“This is a part of Yayasan UMP’s efforts to increase income and the revenues will be channelled to various charity programmes for the benefits of students and the needy,” he said.
Aquatwo Sdn. Bhd. is solely responsible as the secretariat for marketing, selling/bidding, financial management, appointing marketing agents, promotion and sales/bidding system for the UC1 to UC9999 plate numbers.

The UC number registration can be made from 1 March 2022 until October 2024.
