Father and daughter, Executive Bachelor of Business Management Graduates, share the stage to celebrate success
KUANTAN, 29 October 2024 – The 19th Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) witnessed a special moment when a father and his daughter both graduated with an Executive Bachelor of Business Management degree.
Mohd Zaki Awang, 53, and his third daughter, Aina Afiqah Mohd Zaki, 24, shared the stage to receive their respective degrees, making this convocation a cherished memory for their family.
According to Nor Azlina, Mohd Zaki’s wife, she could not hide her pride at seeing her husband and daughter share the stage to receive their degrees.
“As a mother and wife, I feel extremely proud that at the age of 53, my husband was able to complete his studies despite time constraints and family commitments.
“I always encouraged them to complete their assigned tasks,” she said.
Meanwhile, Aina Afiqah also shared her feelings of happiness and gratitude upon graduating alongside her father.
“I am proud to have completed my studies despite juggling two jobs at the same time.
“But the most unforgettable memory is meeting new friends and gaining experiences as a distance learning student.
“Today, we both have finally succeeded, and it is truly a source of pride for our family,” said Aina.
Mohd Zaki, on the other hand, said that the most challenging experience during his studies was the journey from Johor to Pahang to attend classes.
“It was definitely a sweet experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.
“I am very grateful to UMPSA for providing a flexible learning pathway that suits my commitments and career as a Procurement and Logistics Executive at a prominent company in Pengerang,” he said.
