Five UMPSA graduates from Pahang receive Excellence Awards from the Pahang Foundation

GAMBANG, 26 October 2024 – Five graduates from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), all hailing from Pahang, have been honoured with the Excellence Award by the Pahang Foundation for their outstanding achievements in academics and co-curricular activities.

The awards were presented during the 19th UMPSA Convocation Ceremony, held at the UMPSA Sports Complex Hall, Gambang Campus.

Muhammad Amir Aminuddin, 24, from Kuantan, is currently working at Petronas Dagangan Berhad as a protégé, with his programme expected to conclude in June 2025. 

With a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.80, he was an active member of the Mathelites Association and won a bronze medal in the CITREX competition for his project titled Predictive Maintenance Dashboard for Computer Numerical Control Machines.

Amir expressed gratitude for UMPSA’s excellent facilities and high-quality lecturers, which contributed significantly to his success.

Another award recipient, Nurul Afifah Che Alias, 30, is currently employed as a Digital-IT Associate at Malaysia Aviation Group.

She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her parents and the quality education she received at UMPSA. 

With a CGPA of 3.75, Nurul Afifah has won numerous awards and actively participated in various co-curricular activities.

Fatin Ayu Kartika Mohd Suzaki, 24, a recipient of the Matriculation Excellence Incentive Assistance from the UMPSA Foundation in 2020, is temporarily working at a Petronas Gas Station. 

She holds a Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Pharmaceutical) with Honours, achieving a CGPA of 3.77.

Fatin was actively involved in student organisations, including the Felda Students' and Students' Mutual Aid Association (PERSADA), Exco PEKA 3, and Yayasan UMPSA. She is determined to make meaningful contributions to society.

Ummu Najwa Nur Yusrizal, 25, was named the Best Athlete of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology (FTKA) during the Final Year Student Appreciation Ceremony. 

She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering at UMPSA, aiming to complete her doctorate within three years. 

Ummu Najwa, who earned a CGPA of 3.70, is also active in the Pahang Children's Council Secretariat.

She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her husband and son.

The final recipient, Muhammad Farrish Azran Azuwan, 25, from Pekan, is pursuing a Master of Science degree at UMPSA while assisting his family in managing their business. Farrish, who achieved a CGPA of 3.77, was actively involved in various associations at UMPSA. 

He lives by the principle of “expect nothing.”

These five graduates have not only demonstrated outstanding academic success but also inspired the community of Pahang Darul Makmur through their determination and achievements.
