Hei Tech Excellence Award belongs to Nur Sofhia Izzaty

GAMBANG, 27 October 2024 – “Hold your vision, trust the process,” and believing in the prayers of her parents are the principles and guiding words always upheld by Nur Sofhia Izzaty Mohamad Azizi, 23, a graduate of the Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) with Honours, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).

Nur Sofhia was selected to receive the Hei Tech Excellence Award, presented by the UMPSA Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato Sri (Dr) Abi Musa Asa’ari Mohamed Nor, during the Third Session of the UMPSA Convocation Ceremony, held at the Sports Complex Hall, UMPSA Gambang Campus.

Being active in co-curricular activities did not prevent Sofhia from achieving excellent academic results.

She expressed her gratitude for completing her studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.56 and receiving the Dean’s List Award for four semesters.

“This is undoubtedly the most meaningful gift I can give to those who contributed to my success today—my parents and my mentor.

“In addition, UMPSA lecturers were very supportive in providing exposure and opportunities to students.

“The faculty’s initiative in fostering good relationships with industry players also opened a new dimension for students to take greater strides forward,” said the third of five siblings.

The daughter of Mohamad Azizi Zubir, 52, and Siti Maisarah Adenah, 39, recently completed her industrial training at Petronas Digital.

This graduate of the Faculty of Computing (FK) was also active in representing Malaysia in the ASEAN Foundation Model ASEAN Meeting (AFMAM) Plus Japan 2023 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the Web3 Fusion: Embracing AI and Beyond programme in Bangkok, Thailand.
