Nur Syuhada, recipient of Anugerah Prihatin Komuniti Puspanita, active in association
Kuantan, 18 March 2022 – Being active in co-curricular activities and associations did not prevent Nur Syuhadah Abu, 25, from obtaining a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.75 and thus obtaining a First Class Degree during her study at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP).
Nur Syuhada, a student at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE) obtained the Dean’s List every semester.
This entitled her to receive Anugerah Prihatin Komuniti Puspanita 2020 at the 15th UMP Convocation Ceremony at Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah here yesterday.
She said the memories of being selected as a volunteer in the student mobility programme to Acheh and Cambodia in 2018 and 2019 were the most beautiful experiences for her.
“I had the opportunity to study the socio-cultural and economics of the people in the countries.
“In addition, I was involved as a facilitator in the new student orientation program (MINDS) and served as a member of the UMP Convocation Committee in 2019,” said this second of five siblings.
She, who is currently pursuing a master’s degree in electrical engineering at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), explained that although she was active in association’s programmes, education remained a priority.
She said it is wise to manage time so that the focus on education is not neglected and one can achieve success to fulfil the dreams of both parents.
“I believe in continuous efforts and trusts that enable us to receive the blessings of Allah SWT.
“Each has difficulties but to Allah SWT we ask for forgiveness and ease in our affairs,” she said.
