UMP Women’s Association donates RM10,000 to Yayasan UMP Fund to help the needful
KUANTAN, 31 December 2021 – The Universiti Malaysia Pahang Women’s Association (MATAHARI) has submitted a donation of RM10,000 to Yayasan UMP to support its fundraising efforts for the Fund and Endowment to help students and people in need.
The President of MATAHARI, Datin Dr. Mazita Mokhtar, presented the donation to the staff of the Registry Department, Saryati Md Nayan, representing Yayasan UMP at AC Hotel, Kuantan recently.
According to Datin Dr. Mazita, the donation was given based on the organisation’s commitment to work with UMP through Yayasan UMP to help students and communities in need.
“The association collaborates with Yayasan UMP in any activity almost every year, especially in implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“Among the activities that have been carried out are donations of school supplies, food basket assistance to staff who are victims of COVID-19, and assistance to staff affected by flood, and those in need of assistance,” she said.
In addition, with the number of members now exceeding 200, MATAHARI is confident in participating in volunteer activities if needed.
She hoped that this collaboration could continue to deliver assistance to alleviate the burden of families in need whether involving students or the local community.
The Chief Executive of Yayasan UMP, Mohd Jamil Mohd Ja’afar, thanked MATAHARI for its continuous support in all the programmes organised by Yayasan UMP.
“God willing, Yayasan UMP will make the most from the contributions given,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tok Gajah Virtual Challenge 2021 is one of the activities organised in raising funds while fostering a healthy lifestyle among UMP associates and the public.
