UMPSA welcomes UI and UNAIR Indonesia delegates
GAMBANG, 19 August 2024 – A total of 20 students, along with three accompanying staff from the Universitas Indonesia (UI) and Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), participated in the seven-day International Inbound Mobility Programme starting on 18 August 2024 at the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FSTI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).
According to the Dean of FSTI, Associate Professor Dr. Aizi Nor Mazila Ramli, the programme aims to strengthen and enhance strategic collaboration at the international level between the two institutions as well as further enrich knowledge and skills in occupational safety and health (OSH) in the region.
“It also provides an opportunity for international students to experience the learning environment and learn different cultures at UMPSA, besides helping to indirectly promote the university.
“This visit is part of UMPSA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international collaboration and expand academic and research networks in occupational safety and health.
“International students will take part in exciting and dynamic academic and cultural programmes at UMPSA that will provide them with new experiences.
“It indirectly provides a unique experience for international students and, in turn, is able to open up opportunities for strategic collaboration with higher education institutions,” she said.
Various programmes will be conducted throughout the programme, including teaching sessions and practical training in industrial hygiene, visits to two industries, assessment of industrial health practices, and presentation of findings in the industry.
