UMP collaborates with 6 industry partners

PEKAN, 12 October 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) recently signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with six industry partners.

All industries involved are Nardoni Sdn. Bhd., Indah Water Konsortium Sdn. Bhd., Fung Yuan Biotech Sdn. Bhd., IWK-Pahang Certifiying Agency Office, Gapura Solution Sdn. Bhd. and YP Plantation Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

UMP was represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ts. Dato’ Dr. Yusserie Zainuddin and Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Industrial and Community Collaboration Division, Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Nurul Hazlina Noordin.

The industry representative consisted of the Technical Director of Gapura Solution Sdn. Bhd., Rosman Ariffin, Head of Plantation Department, YP Plantation Holdings Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Nik Rauzi Che Ya@Nik Halim, Chief Scientific Advisor, Fung Yuan Biotech Sdn. Bhd., Professor Dr. Wan Zahari Mohamad, Certification Manager, IWK-Pahang Certifying Agency Office, Rosafizi Mokhtar and Chief Executive Officer of Nardoni Sdn. Bhd., Adam Daniel Yusuf.

Professor Ts. Dato’ Dr. Yusserie expressed his appreciation for the commitment from industry partners in continuing to make UMP a partner to drive excellence and shared strategic needs.

“The collaboration between UMP and industry partners involves technology transfer, sharing research expertise, improving technology development, human capital and sharing knowledge in product commercialisation,” he said.

He believed that the expertise and technology of this collaboration would further enhance the success of the high-impact programmes and open up more opportunities and exploration to other relevant areas.
