UMP seals collaboration with universities from Indonesia
PEKAN, 21 March 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi, Medan and Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas, Medan in an effort to broaden collaboration in academia, research and internationalisation.
UMP was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi Zamli and Dean of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS), Professor Datin Ts. Dr. Mimi Sakinah Abdul Munaim.
Meanwhile Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi was represented by its Rector, Dr. H. Muhamad Isa Indrawan and Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas, Medan was represented by its Rector, Professor Dr. Maidin Gultom.
According to Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi, UMP as a university characterised by technology and engineering, has always aspired to become a leading and competitive technological university globally.
“UMP welcomes collaboration networking with university partners from Indonesia in exploring more collaboration opportunities.
“This collaboration involves student exchange, exchange of teaching staff, joint research, programme organisation such as joint conferences and seminars, as well as the offering of master’s and doctoral degree programmes at UMP and mutually agreed activities,” he said.
“In addition, this collaboration networking will be able to share expertise and technology between UMP, Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi and Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas for mutual benefit,” he said.
