UMPSA explores aviation with Delta Aerospace Sdn. Bhd.
SUBANG, 13 September 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is expanding its cooperation in the field of aviation with industry partners through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delta Aerospace Sdn. Bhd. recently.
The ceremony was witnessed by UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, while the Chief Executive Officer of Delta Aerospace Sdn. Bhd., Michael Edward Roche, signed the MoU in a ceremony held at SkyPark RAC, Subang.
Both Delta Aerospace and UMPSA recognize the potential of this collaboration in the fields of academics and research to fulfil mutual interests and drive progress in industrial activities in Malaysia.
This collaboration also aims to foster deep and relevant technological innovation that will have a lasting impact on the aviation industry.
In addition, the partnership will enhance academic collaboration between UMPSA and Delta Aerospace, particularly in the implementation of the Work-Based Learning (WBL) programme.
It will provide basic training for UMPSA students throughout the programme.
UMPSA students will have the opportunity to utilize all the facilities provided by Delta Aerospace during their learning process.
Moreover, UMPSA and Delta Aerospace will collaborate on related research studies to further strengthen ties between academia and industry.
The event coincided with the Selangor Aviation Show, which began on September 12 and concluded on September 14.
Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie also visited the exhibition booth at the show and toured the aircraft displays.
A total of 49 types of aircraft were exhibited at the event.
Also present was the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), Professor Dr. Mahadzir Ishak@Muhammad.
