KPT Top Management Revitalisation Programme 2026 strengthens strategic leadership through reform mindset
KUALA TAHAN, 12 April 2026 – The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), in strategic collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organised the 2026 MOHE Top Management Revitalisation Programme, themed ‘Mind Revitalisation, Action Reform’.
The three-day programme, which took place from 10 to 12 April 2026, aimed to strengthen strategic leadership among the ministry’s top management team.
A total of 77 participants, comprising MOHE’s top management, took part in the programme.
Among those present were the MOHE Secretary-General, Datuk Dr. Anesee Ibrahim; the Deputy Secretary-General (Policy), Dato’ Dr. Haji Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian; the Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development), Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Azman Hassan; the Director-General of the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education, Dr. Shamsuri Abdullah; and the Chief Executive Officer of EMGS, Novie Tajuddin.
Also present was the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Ts. Dr. Yatimah Alias.
The main objective of organising this programme was to enhance well-being among MOHE’s top management through activities that emphasised physical health, renewed motivation and commitment, while also strengthening ties, the spirit of togetherness, and strategic collaborative networks.
Throughout the three days, various activities were carried out, with the first day beginning with an ice-breaking session and group activities to foster early interaction and strengthen relationships among participants.
The second day continued with field activities based on elements of nature and community engagement.
Participants visited Lata Berkoh Waterfall and the Kelah Sanctuary as part of team-building activities and appreciation of natural heritage.
Subsequently, the participants visited the Bateq Orang Asli village in Kuala Tahan, Taman Negara, where they had the opportunity to learn about the culture and customs of this community.
During the visit, Datuk Dr. Anesee presented KPT MADANI contributions, while Professor Ts. Dr. Yatimah also presented contributions from Yayasan UMPSA to the local community.

During the dinner ceremony, a special appreciation session was also held for Datuk Dr. Anesee Ibrahim, who will retire compulsorily on 10 May 2026.
The third day concluded with a learning loop session, which aimed to summarise findings, share experiences, and reflect on the programme, while strengthening participants’ understanding of the programme objectives.
According to Datuk Dr. Anesee, dynamic strategic leadership is the main pillar of an organisation’s success.
“Mind revitalisation is not merely a change in the way of thinking, but an urgent necessity in shaping leadership that is adaptive and competitive.
“I hope this programme will become a catalyst for action reform in every aspect of MOHE management,” he said.
He also expressed his pride and congratulations on the strong commitment shown by all participants and recorded his appreciation to UMPSA as the strategic partner that made this programme a success.
In her speech, Professor Ts. Dr. Yatimah also expressed appreciation to MOHE for its trust in UMPSA as the strategic partner for this programme.
This programme reflects MOHE’s continued commitment to producing leaders who are credible, competitive, and forward-looking.
It also serves as an important platform to strengthen collaborative ties and synergy towards improving the effectiveness of service delivery, she added.
Also present were the Registrar of UMPSA, Dato’ Saiful Bahri Ahmad Bakarim, and the Director of the UMPSA Talent Development Centre, Juliana Mohd Ali, who is also the Chief of the Joint Programme Secretariat.
