40 UMP students enjoyed the open air iftar at MPK field

Kuantan,30 Mei- Seramai 60 kanak-kanak miskin dan anak yatim sekitar Pekan dan Kuantan menerima sumbangan baju raya dalam program Baju Raya Lebaran anjuran Persatuan Wanita Universiti Malaysia Pahang (Matahari) bertempat di Pasaraya Mydin, Kuantan.
Menurut Presiden Matahari, Prof. Datin Dr. Mimi Sakinah Abdul Munaim berkata , program ini merupakan program salah satu program yang diaturkan sepanjang bulan Ramadan yang bertujuan untuk meringankan beban keluarga yang memerlukan bantuan menjelangnya sambutan Hari Raya.
Kuantan, 29 Mei- Hampir 1 kontena pakaian kanak-kanak dan dewasa serta pelbagai barangan keperluan lain berjaya dikumpulkan hasil sumbangan warga Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) dan orang ramai bersempena program Jualan Amal Raya Campus Pantry di perkarangan JHEPA baru-baru ini.
In an effort to make the holy month of Ramadan more exceptional, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP)’s Marketing and Student Admission Division (BPPP) feted 44 orphans and children of less privileged families from SK Serandu, Pekan during the Infak Ramadan and khatam of the al-Quran programmes that were held on May 24, 2019.
The children received contributions in cash and kinds which were presented by General Manager of Registrar Department, Abd. Hamid Majid and Manager of Academic Management Division (BPA), Zainuddin Mat Husin.
It was an exciting experience for 41 Year Six pupils from Sekolah Kebangsaan Serandu in Pekan for they got to join their facilitators and Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students for iftar in the university’s campus in Pekan on May 14, 2019.
The pupils were participants of a programme called MyCilik Serandu, where they were given motivation and guidance in preparing for the public examination, Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR).
Their faces lit with joy and happiness upon having the chance to choose their own clothes for the coming Aidilfitri celebration.
They were 110 children aged between five and 17 who were orphans and from the asnaf group who were brought to shop at the Pasar Raya Hari-Hari under the ‘Ziarah Prihatin Aidilfitri Projek Baju Raya.’
