During the 30 minutes visit to his house in Taman Tanjung Selangor, Pekan, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yusserrie Zainuddin, who is also the Deputy Chairman of UMP Foundation, gave words of encouragement and advices for him to study hard.
“I am touched by the efforts showed by the UMP Foundation to help the new students who were affected by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) decision on the postponement of physical and face-to-face registration.
“Many of these new students including myself are not allowed to come to UMP for registration. Nevertheless, UMP still cares for us.
“I am so grateful and sincerely thanked UMP for this contribution which can at least ease the financial burden faced by my parents and definitely will be used wisely,” he said.
The son of Mohd Norafizd Awang and Amimah Abdul Wahab also told that after the SPM result was announced, he tried his luck to further his study at UMP, but unlucky for him, luck was not on his side.

“I am firm with my decision to continue my studies at UMP, which is known for its Engineering and Technology programme, despite the teasing from friends asking why didn’t I choose university outside of Pahang.”
"I can’t wait to start my class and join the Student Induction Week from 14th to 18th October 2020 which will be conducted online due to the spread of Covid-19 that hit the nation," he added.
