Golden opportunity for UMPSA Students: Mohamed Noah Foundation commits to RM400,000 Scholarship

PEKAN, 5 July 2024 – The Mohamed Noah Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to national education by donating a bursary amounting to RM400,000 to students of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).

The Bursary Presentation Ceremony took place at the Tun Abdul Razak Chancellery Banquet Hall, UMPSA Pekan.

The meaningful event was officiated by Pahang State Investment, Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation EXCO, Yang Berhormat Dato' Mohamad Nizar Dato' Sri Mohamad Najib.

According to Dato' Mohamad Nizar, this bursary donation is a testament to the Mohamed Noah Foundation's unwavering support for education and community development.

"The Mohamed Noah Foundation stands firm on the principles of justice, welfare, and equality. We always ensure that every donation and help given reaches those who truly need it. 

“The scholarship given today is a symbol of hope and encouragement for students to continue striving for excellence," he said.

This bursary fully covers tuition fees for four years, benefiting a total of 50 outstanding students. 

Recipients of the bursary will not need to worry about the burden of tuition fees throughout their study period, allowing them to devote their full attention to knowledge and academic excellence without interruption.

He added that the scholarship recipients are the precious gems who will shape the future of the country.

"Use this opportunity to gain knowledge, develop your talents and potential, and become individuals with integrity and vision," he told the students.

UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie, highlighted that this scholarship is a symbol of hope and encouragement for students to strive for excellence.

“Education is the key to individual and community progress. 

“UMPSA is grateful to the Mohamed Noah Foundation for this very meaningful contribution. 

“Hopefully, this effort will produce graduates who not only excel academically but also possess noble and competitive character," he said.

One of the scholarship recipients, Mohamad Nu'man-Ul-Shahmi Ahmad Zulkarnain, expressed his gratitude and thanks for the donation he received.

"This scholarship gives me the opportunity to continue my studies without worrying about fees. I promise to use this opportunity to achieve excellence," he said with enthusiasm.

Also present were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, and UMPSA Chief Financial Officer, Dato' Zainudin Othman.

The collaboration between UMPSA and the Mohamed Noah Foundation is expected to continue to grow in the future, with more joint initiatives aimed at improving the level of education and social development in our country.
